Jill had never run for office before. By September, she was active in her campaign but her message was being overshadowed by party voices.

The goal was to help her step forward authentically, not as a politician, but as a neighbor, mom, and lifelong Hillsborough resident who wanted to make her town affordable again.

Local political campaigns often lean on party talking points and polished graphics. Voters, however, engage with stories that feel familiar and grounded.

Our insight was simple: authenticity outperforms polish. Instead of positioning Jill as a candidate, we positioned her as a community member who listens, cares, and acts. This required content that mirrored real life: approachable, human, and consistent.

We focused on warmth over slogans and stories over speeches, showing voters a version of Jill they already trusted.
